Boise Residence

Situated on a dramatic sloped site overlooking the town of Boise Idaho, the client wanted a modern structure that reflected he and his wifes minimalist lifestyle as well as an opportunity to showcase his craft as a general contractor having just relocated to the area. Driven by the site and local height regulations, the building begins its journey down the hillside with a bridge that spans to a butterfly roofed garage structure on the street and terminates in two metal-clad rectangular volumes that serve as the living/dinning/kitchen area and the master suite. The exterior materials sand colors were chosen to give the house a sleek, modern look, but are also environmentally conscious and renewable. The interior spaces and clean, with concrete floors, metal stairs and large windows to capture natural light and the panoramic views. A courtyard with a pool connects the spaces with a common public area
